Intrepid Design & Engineering
The 2025 model year is fast approaching, and several Ram, Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge vehicles are breaking new ground in the Fresno, CA area. There are electric vehicles and hybrids highlighting this array of new vehicles, and some have seen revamps to legendary gasoline and diesel engines. Power, economy, luxury, and general wisdom of engineering combine to present a truly formidable lineup of great vehicles.
Chrysler
Initial indications are that Chrysler's 2025 large SUV will revamp the Pacifica rather than the originally planned Airflow. For 2024, the Pacifica offers best-in-class cargo space with its "Stow 'n' Go" seating and a rich assortment of cubbyholes and pockets throughout the vehicle. It's also a three-row vehicle with the option of stowing just one row of seats. That makes it terrific for bringing a group to practice for various teams.
Dodge
The first idea for the Dodge Charger for 2025 was to create only an EV, but Stellantis changed its mind. There will be a gasoline-powered version, but the venerable HEMI will be replaced with a twin-turbocharged inline six that produces 550 horsepower. The Charger Daytona will be the EV, and with its two motors, it cranks out 670 horsepower and will fly to 60 mph on the roads around Hanford and Madera in fewer than four seconds. The optional 16-inch infotainment screen is equally industry-leading. The 2024 Durango still offers the Hellcat's roar, 710 horsepower of 12-second quarter-mile glory, but its likely 2025 successor will be either a hybrid or an EV. The Hornet isn't on the docket yet for 2025, but the 2024 version provides all-wheel drive that still achieves a 75-mph 28 mpg and a zero-60 time of 5.7 seconds.
Jeep
For 2025, the newest Jeep will be the Wagoneer S, a 600-horsepower EV with a range of more than 400 miles. It's not just all power, however, as available massaging seats, a standard 19-speaker stereo system, and a full three touch screens can attest. A panoramic sunroof makes both day and evening cruises a windswept joy. The other Jeep models, such as the Wrangler, with its 11 trim packages, and the Wagoneer 4xe, don't feature a full EV, but both "xe" versions are hybrids that boast outstanding fuel economy. The Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L offer multiple trims, the highest of which rival European sedans in luxury.
Ram
The already-impressive lineup of Ram trucks continues its power dominance and upgrades its already top-of-the-class luxury for 2025. In the Ram 1500, for example, the twin-turbo inline-six engine produces 540 horsepower while the interior gives both driver and passengers the latest technology, luxury materials, and cab space. It's quite easy to indulge your dreams while still being able to do the toughest work. Regarding work, however, the Ram 3500 is still the king of the hill. Able to pull an astounding 16.83 long tons while carrying 3.45 more long tons in the bed with its mighty 1,070-pound feet of torque, you'd need a semi to do more. There is no sacrifice of luxury there, either, as the same advanced accoutrements of the 1500 abound in the 3500 as well.
